Arteta Confirms Players Will Leave Arsenal
Arsenal boss, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the club will let some top players leave this summer.
Arteta also said he is now focused on the current squad available to him rather than looking to dip further into the transfer market.
The Spaniard said this at his post-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash at the weekend.
He said: “We are still in the same position. The market gives us new information but we are focusing on the players we have now and we’ll see what can happen.
“It has to be the right person and the right player and we only want to bring through top quality through that door.
“I will be happy of getting the best out of those players as well.”
In terms of outgoings, Arteta was asked about Nice’s interest in Nicolas Pepe, saying: “We have a big squad and we made some big decisions. We will let some players leave but anything can happen with any player.”
Arteta is also confident that Bukayo Saka will sign a new contract with the Gunners but want it sorted as soon as possible.
