Marco Asensio Opens Up On Future At Real Madrid
Real Madrid attacking midfielder, Marco Asensio has admitted that he could be leaving the club this summer amid rumours he has been offered to Manchester United by super-agent Jorge Mendes.
The Spain international’s contract with the Spanish giants will end next June and no agreement has been reached for an extension.
Real Madrid would definitely want to see this summer as an opportunity to cash in on the winger.
Asensio made 31 appearances for Real Madrid, scoring 10 goals as they clinched La Liga title and the Champions League glory.
Spanish television show El Chiringuito had claimed Mendes had offered the 26-year-old to Manchester United.
“I have one more year in my contract, yet here we are talking about me leaving Real Madrid. This is an important moment for me, I will not deny it,” Asensio told AS.
“I will have to make important decisions. When these next two weeks with the national team end, we will talk about it all.
“This is something that my agent is taking care of,” he said.
Before now, the 26-year-old Spain International has been linked with a move to Arsenal, Tottenham and other clubs in Europe.
