Popular Television personality and life-long fan of Arsenal, Piers Morgan, has hit out at Manchester United following their latest Premier League 4-0 defeat to Liverpool.
Recall that Liverpool defeated Man United at Anfield, thanks to goals from Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
Ronaldo did not feature in the encounter because he was excused by Man United following the tragic death of his newborn son.
And Morgan believes Man United would have been in a relegation battle this season without Ronaldo.
Morgan tweeted: “Manchester United without Ronaldo this season would be facing a relegation battle.
“Absolutely abysmal performance tonight.”
Ronaldo has scored 15 Premier League goals and registered three assists for Man United this season.
Without Ronaldo, the Red Devils would be way down in 12th position in the table currently with just 39 points.
